NOT a food blog
Inspired by I SAY A LITTLE PRAYER (Dionne Warwick)
The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup
I say a little pray’r for char siew
While rubbing my tum, now
And wondering what size dress to wear, now
I say a little pray’r for char siew
Forever, and ever, you’ll cause me to fart
My poh lei char siew
Forever, and ever, I love your charred part
Thanks to my friend, Boo
We went there, and lunched there, to eat the babi
My melt-in-my-mouth char siew
You’re more than a heartburn to me
I think you’re the best, dear
Your glistening meat I want, dear
I say a little prayer for you
At work, it’s like wartime
As everyone waits for break-time
To grab as many chunks of char siew
Forever, and ever, you’ll stay in my heart
And I will love you, char siew
Forever, and ever we never will part
Oh, how I’ll love you
Together, forever, that’s how it must be
To live without you
Would only be heartbreak for me…

The moment I wake up,
Before I reach for the tea cup,
I look through your delicious blog.
And run through my head, now
Which char siu recipe to try, now
I pray it will turn out sticky.
Does the char siu have skin wan ah?

And what did you say about not killing me loudly with your beautiful pictures of all the things I love to eat?! Mmm?
Sigh, at least while I was giggling at your lyrics I didn’t have time to stuff my face with cookies and India-style crackers.
For the love of pork — that’s probably why we were born into religions that allow the eating of it. 😉 I even have a good friend who wholesales (wholesells?) live pigs.
(By the way, you don’t need fake eyelashes, lah — yours are already prettily long, lush and curvy.)

HairyBerry: Beast? @_@ Yes you are. 😛
Jun: We’re like Yin and Yang, John and Yoko, Barbie and Ken. Btw, I love crabs too. What? You haven’t heard my ode to the crustacean? ^_^
Argus Hocus-Porkus: I knew there was a reason for my existence…thanks, O Enlightened One. Btw, you really must introduce me to your porkseller friend…I have a makan kaki (see page on Makan Club) who’s dying to date one. He would certainly make her very happy for the rest of her porcine life. As for my eyelashes, my schoolmates used to tease me about the fact that my eyelashes resembled a cow’s eyelashes from the day when we dissected a cow’s eyeballs in Biology class. I suppose I should be flattered since ol’ Daisy there really had looooong lashes. Keyword: should.
bsg: For the love of babi, save ourselves!
ling239: YES!!! 🙂
Chin: Who woulda thought that such glorious meat can be found in Shah Alam, eh?
live2talk: Errrr….what kinda lover? 😛 😛
PenangTuaPui: Aren’t you in Penang, the land of glorious food? hehe.

P.S. Your classmates were just jeles. (Did the cow eyeball come with eyelid and eyelashes still attached? Eeewwww.)

Argus’s Burphus in Life: Baby goats? Aren’t they supposed to be pigs? And yes, the cow eyeball came with eyelid and eyelashes…so long and luscious too. Do I sound jealous? I’m not, of course.

Must Try, don’t miss. from Kesas highway after Proton Factory keep left, stop at traffic light, green light , keep left go straight, until you see tunnel under the highway, stop at traffic light, go straight, can see Public Bank on right hand side, turn left at junction, both corner are restaurant, go straight, restaurant at end lot. That’s the one.
